Conflict of Interest Policy

Purpose:

The Peace SV Foundation is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct. This conflict of interest policy is designed to help directors, officers, and employees of the Foundation identify situations that present potential conflicts of interest and to provide a procedure by which such potential conflicts may be managed or avoided.

Definition of Conflict of Interest:

A conflict of interest occurs when an individual's personal interests, direct or indirect, conflict with the responsibilities owed to the Foundation. This includes any situation where personal, financial, or other considerations may compromise, or appear to compromise, an individual's judgment, decisions, or actions.

Disclosure:

All directors, officers, and employees are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including financial interests or affiliations with organizations or individuals with whom the Foundation has or is considering a relationship.

Procedures:

Upon identification of a potential conflict of interest, the individual must disclose the conflict to the appropriate authority within the Foundation.

The disclosed conflict will be reviewed and a determination made as to whether a conflict of interest exists.

An individual with a conflict of interest will be excluded from discussions and decisions relating to the matter.
